Fee warning
The deadline is 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the 25th. Cancel after that and Ipsy still bills you for next month's order on the last business day of the month and ships it. Annual plans must be cancelled by the 25th of the month before they renew, and IPSY Ultimate by the 25th of the month before a quarterly box ships.
First, find out who bills you
The device you use doesn't decide how you cancel. The company that charges you does.
Fastest check: Ipsy memberships aren't sold through the App Store or Google Play, so Ipsy bills you itself. Sign in at ipsy.com, select Account, then View Membership to see every membership that's still active.
| What you see | Who bills you | Go to |
|---|---|---|
| An Ipsy charge on your card or PayPal | Ipsy | Cancel on the Ipsy website |
| An Ipsy charge paid with Apple Pay | Ipsy (Apple Pay is only the payment method) | Cancel on the Ipsy website |
| Afterpay installments for an Ipsy annual plan | Afterpay collects the installments. Ipsy runs the membership and bills the renewal to your previous payment method | Cancel on the Ipsy website |
| Two Ipsy charges in the same month | Ipsy, for a second membership, Beauty Boost, IPSY Ultimate, or an Add-Ons or IPSY Shop order | Cancel on the Ipsy website |
| You received Ipsy as a gift | Prepaid by the person who gave it. Ipsy bills you again after the gift ends if you were already a paying member | Cancel on the Ipsy website |
Cancel on the Ipsy website
This works in any browser, on a computer or on your phone.
- Go to ipsy.com/account and sign in. If you're on another page, select Account at the top right, or open the menu (three lines) and select Account.
- Find the membership you want to cancel and select View Membership.
- Select Cancel Membership.
- Sign in again when Ipsy asks you to verify your account.
- Select Continue Cancellation.
Done when: Ipsy shows a confirmation message on screen.
- Cancel by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the 25th to skip next month's order. Cancel later and Ipsy bills you for next month and ships that order; the cancellation starts the month after.
- IPSY Original and IPSY Extra are separate memberships. Cancel each one.
- IPSY Ultimate is a quarterly upgrade that needs an active IPSY Original or IPSY Extra membership. Its boxes ship in February, May, August and November, and the deadline is the 25th of the month before a box ships.
- If you're on an annual plan, cancel by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the 25th of the month before it renews.
- If you paid for an annual plan with Afterpay, you pay the installments to Afterpay, and a missed one can bring late fees. Ipsy bills the renewal to the payment method you used before.
- Cancelling IPSY Extra also cancels Beauty Boost. To drop only Beauty Boost, select View Membership under IPSY Extra, select Beauty Boost, then Cancel.
Cancel on iPhone, iPad or Android
The website steps work in your phone's browser too.
- Open Safari or Chrome and go to ipsy.com/account.
- Sign in. If you land on another page, open the menu (three lines) and select Account.
- Select View Membership, then Cancel Membership.
- Sign in again if asked, then select Continue Cancellation.
Done when: Ipsy shows a confirmation message on screen.
- Deleting the IPSY app doesn't cancel anything. Ipsy keeps billing until you cancel your membership.
- Ipsy memberships don't appear in your Apple subscriptions or in Google Play, because the app doesn't sell them through either store.
Get help from IPSY Care by chat
Ipsy has no phone support. If the online steps fail, the Glam Bot on Ipsy's help center can pass you to an IPSY Care agent.
- Open help.ipsy.com and select Ask the Glam Bot, or the pink question mark, at the bottom of the page.
- Type a short message: "I want to cancel my membership."
- If the bot can't sort it out, it opens a ticket for an IPSY Care agent. Name every membership you want cancelled, such as IPSY Original, IPSY Extra or Beauty Boost.
- Ask which month is the last one you'll be billed for, and keep the reply.
Done when: IPSY Care confirms in writing that the membership is cancelled and from which month.
- Ipsy says IPSY Care usually replies within 24 hours. Check your spam folder.
- IPSY Care also answers on X (Twitter) and Facebook Messenger.
- If the 25th is close, try the website steps first. The deadline is 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
Skip a month or pause instead of cancelling
Open View Membership on your Account page to see the options for your membership. Skip a Month skips the next order and its charge, and shipments restart the month after unless you skip again. Adjust Frequency switches you to an order every other month.
Changed your mind? Go back to the membership page and select Resume Your Membership. Ipsy then updates your next shipment and billing dates.
Changes apply to next month's order only if you make them by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the 25th. Annual and gift memberships may not show every option. IPSY Care can help with those.
Pausing IPSY Extra pauses Beauty Boost too, and Beauty Boost can't be skipped by itself. Skipping a month, switching to every other month, pausing or cancelling resets your IPSY Rewards streak, unless another of your memberships still ships every month.
What happens after you cancel
- Access: Orders you've already been billed for still ship. Cancel by the 25th and you don't pay for or get next month's order. Annual members keep receiving their prepaid orders and keep IPSY Shop and Add-Ons access until the term ends, and the plan doesn't renew.
- IPSY Rewards: If you're enrolled, cancelling resets your streak. If you cancel every membership, you may lose your tier and any rewards you haven't used, and some rewards, such as Add-Ons coupons, need an active membership to redeem. Use them before you cancel. Your tier is based on the last 12 months of spending, and six months in a row with no spending loses it.
- Your data: Cancelling doesn't delete your account. To delete your profile and personal information, contact IPSY Care or use the request options in Ipsy's privacy notice.
- Rejoining: Ipsy's terms let you cancel and resubscribe as often as you like. Sign in and choose a membership. Ipsy bills you when you join.
How to check it worked
- Take a screenshot of the confirmation message.
- Sign in, select Account, and open View Membership for each membership to check that none is still active.
- Ipsy bills monthly memberships on the last business day of the month. Check your statement after that date for a new Ipsy charge.
Getting a refund
- Subscriptions: Ipsy doesn't refund, return or exchange subscription orders.
- Annual plans: Cancelling doesn't refund the prepaid months. You keep receiving the orders you paid for, and the plan doesn't renew.
- Missing or damaged items: If something is missing or damaged, tell IPSY Care within 45 days of the shipment date and Ipsy sends a replacement. Use Ask the Glam Bot on help.ipsy.com to start.
- Charged after cancelling: If you cancelled before 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the 25th and were still charged, contact IPSY Care at help.ipsy.com.
Refund rules differ by country and by provider.
Questions people ask
Can I cancel Ipsy in the app?
Ipsy's help center gives one set of steps for your account: Account, View Membership, Cancel Membership. In the IPSY app, Account is in the menu at the bottom right. The same steps work at ipsy.com/account in Safari or Chrome on your phone. Deleting the app doesn't cancel anything.
Why was I charged after I cancelled?
If you cancelled after 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the 25th, Ipsy still bills you for next month's order and ships it. The cancellation starts the month after. Also check that you cancelled every membership. If you cancelled before the deadline, contact IPSY Care.
Is there a phone number to cancel Ipsy?
No. Ipsy doesn't offer phone support. Cancel on the website, or use the Glam Bot on Ipsy's help center to reach IPSY Care.
Can I just remove my card instead?
That doesn't cancel. Ipsy's terms let it charge any payment method on your account and keep retrying a failed one. Cancel your membership instead.
Do I get money back if I cancel an annual plan?
No. Ipsy doesn't refund subscriptions. You keep receiving the prepaid orders, and the plan doesn't renew.
Does cancelling IPSY Extra cancel Beauty Boost?
Yes. Beauty Boost ends automatically when IPSY Extra is cancelled. You can also cancel Beauty Boost on its own and keep IPSY Extra.
I got Ipsy as a gift. Will it keep charging me?
A gift ends after its last month if you have no payment method on file. If you were already a paying member, your paid shipments restart automatically the month after the gift ends. To stop them, cancel by the 25th of the month before they restart. Cancelling while a gift still has shipments left forfeits those shipments. Ipsy can't refund a gift once it's bought.
Can I cancel an Add-Ons or IPSY Shop order?
No. Ipsy treats them as final once placed, with no refunds or returns. It replaces missing or damaged items within 45 days of shipment.
