How to cancel iFIT

Quick answer

  1. Go to app.ifit.com/settings/membership-plan and sign in.
  2. Select Cancel Membership, then Continue to Cancel, and enter the 6-digit code iFIT emails you.
  3. Check the acknowledgement box and select Cancel Membership.

You keep iFIT until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling doesn't refund it. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku bills you, cancel with them instead.

Fee warning

Got your machine free with an iFIT membership and iFIT financing? Under iFIT's free-equipment offer, cancelling the membership after the first 30 days makes the rest of the equipment balance due. Read your offer terms before you cancel.

First, find out who bills you

The machine or device you work out on doesn't decide how you cancel. The company that charges you does.

Fastest check: Search your email for the receipt of your last iFIT payment. A receipt from iFIT means you cancel at app.ifit.com. A receipt from Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku means you cancel with that company.

Recommended

Use this if iFIT bills you directly. It works in any browser, on a computer or on your phone.

  1. Open app.ifit.com/settings/membership-plan and sign in with the account that pays.
  2. Select Cancel Membership.
  3. Select Continue to Cancel, then enter the 6-digit code iFIT emails you.
  4. If iFIT shows you an offer or a troubleshooting checklist, keep going.
  5. Check the box that says you're ready to cancel, then select Cancel Membership.

Done when: You reach the last page of the flow, which offers an optional survey and a download of your workout history. iFIT says auto-renewal is off once you select Cancel Membership.

  • Deleting your iFIT account is not the same as cancelling. If you only want the charges to stop, cancel the membership.
  • iFIT's terms call this page Membership Plan, in your account settings.
  • iFIT shows its customer service hours and phone number throughout the cancel flow if you get stuck.
  • Don't want a price increase iFIT tells you about? iFIT's terms say to cancel at least 24 hours before the billing period the new price applies to.

Billed by Apple

If you subscribed through the App Store, Apple bills you, and iFIT's terms say you cancel with Apple.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open your Apple subscriptions.
  2. Tap the iFIT subscription.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Done when: The iFIT subscription in your Apple subscriptions shows an end date instead of a renewal date.

  • The same link works on a Mac, where it opens your subscriptions in the App Store.
  • No Cancel Subscription button means it's already cancelled.
  • iFIT not in the list? Check the receipt email to see which Apple Account paid. If a family member's account paid, only they can cancel it.
  • On a free trial, Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, or it renews.
  • Cancelling at app.ifit.com doesn't stop a subscription Apple bills.

Billed by Google Play

If you signed up through the Google Play Store, Google Play bills you, and you cancel there.

  1. Open the Play Store and tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap iFIT.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription.

Done when: Google Play shows the date the subscription ends.

Billed by Amazon

If you signed up through Amazon, iFIT says you make any changes to the membership on Amazon.

  1. Go to amazon.com/yourmembershipsandsubscriptions and sign in with the Amazon account that pays.
  2. Find iFIT and select Manage Subscription.
  3. Turn off Auto-Renew, or select Cancel Subscription under Advanced Controls.

Done when: Amazon lists the iFIT subscription as cancelled, or shows that it won't renew.

  • Not listed there? Amazon Appstore subscriptions also appear in Your Account under Your Apps, then Your Subscriptions.
  • Amazon says access continues until the current subscription period ends.

Billed by Roku

If you signed up in the iFIT TV app on a Roku device, Roku bills you through Roku Pay.

  1. Go to my.roku.com/subscriptions and sign in to your Roku account.
  2. Under Active subscriptions, select iFIT TV.
  3. Select Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew.

Done when: Roku shows that auto-renew is off for iFIT TV.

  • On the Roku itself: press Home, highlight iFIT TV, press the Star button, select Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew.
  • If you set a Roku PIN for purchases, Roku asks for it.
  • Roku says you keep access until the current billing cycle ends.

Cancel by phone

For memberships iFIT bills directly, iFIT's terms also let you cancel by phone.

  1. Call iFIT at 1-866-608-1798 during regular business hours, Mountain Time.
  2. Say: "I want to cancel my iFIT membership. Please give me a confirmation number."
  3. Ask for the date your membership ends.
  4. Write down the date, the agent's name and the confirmation number.

Done when: The agent confirms the cancellation and tells you the date your membership ends.

  • iFIT's general support line is 1-833-680-4348. You can also chat or text from the iFIT help center.
  • If Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku bills you, iFIT's terms send you to them to cancel.

Secondary users on iFIT Pro

An iFIT Pro membership can include up to four secondary users at no extra cost. Their access depends on the primary user's membership, so the primary user is the one who cancels. When the primary membership ends, every secondary user loses access too.

To remove one person instead, the primary user opens Membership Settings at app.ifit.com/settings/membership-plan and removes them under Members.

Pause instead of cancelling

If iFIT bills you directly, you can pause for 30, 60 or 90 days. You aren't billed during the pause, but iFIT workouts aren't available in the app or on your machine. Your renewal date moves back by the length of the pause.

To pause, open app.ifit.com/settings/membership-plan/pause, choose a length and select Pause now. To come back early, select Resume Membership on the banner. You can pause once every 30 days.

Free trial

iFIT sometimes includes a trial, such as a 30-day iFIT Pro trial. You need to add a card even for a free trial or an activation code. When the trial ends, the membership renews on that card at the regular price.

To avoid the first charge, cancel before the trial ends. Your offer terms give the trial length. Trials and promotional prices are usually only for people who haven't subscribed before.

What iFIT shows you before you leave

The cancel flow shows your benefits and workout stats, suggests a pause, and may show special offers based on your plan, plus a troubleshooting checklist. None of these cancel anything. Keep going until you can check the acknowledgement box, then select Cancel Membership.

  • Pause your membership for 30, 60 or 90 days: To cancel instead, select Continue to Cancel.
  • A special membership offer based on your plan: Skip it and keep going until you can check the acknowledgement box and select Cancel Membership.

What happens after you cancel

  • Access: You keep using iFIT until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Your equipment: Your machine still works in manual mode without a membership, but iFIT says its equipment needs a free iFIT account and wi-fi to operate. Keep the account if you'll keep using the machine. Cancelling iFIT doesn't end payments on equipment you financed. If you return a NordicTrack or ProForm machine under the 30-day home trial, iFIT's terms say your membership continues until you cancel it, so cancel the membership as well.
  • Your data: Cancelling doesn't delete your iFIT account. The last page of the cancel flow lets you download your workout history, and My Workouts at app.ifit.com can export it as a .tcx file. Deleting your account is a separate step that removes your data permanently.
  • Rejoining: Sign in at app.ifit.com and open Membership Settings, where a Plan Options button lets you explore plans. Trials and promotional prices are usually only for new members.

How to check it worked

  1. Make sure you reached the last page of the cancel flow. Leaving at the 6-digit code or at an offer doesn't cancel anything.
  2. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku billed you, check that their subscriptions page shows an end date or auto-renew off.
  3. After your old renewal date, check Billing History in Membership Settings at app.ifit.com for a new charge.
  4. Watch your next card statement. Report a wrong charge to iFIT within 30 days of the billing date.

Getting a refund

  • Billed by iFIT: Cancelling doesn't refund the current period. iFIT's return policy says monthly fees aren't refundable, and yearly fees are refundable only if you cancel within 30 days of the original purchase or the start of a trial. The same policy says a monthly or yearly membership may be refunded within 30 days of equipment delivery. If you're not satisfied with your membership, it says to call 1-866-896-9777 with your account username and email. The policy doesn't mention two-year plans.
  • Charged in error: Tell iFIT within 30 days of the billing date at 1-866-608-1798 or through the iFIT help center. iFIT's terms say it doesn't refund after 30 days unless the law requires it. A refund can take up to 30 days to process.
  • Billed by Apple: Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides, not iFIT.
  • Billed by Google Play: Within 48 hours of a purchase, you may be able to request a refund on Google Play. After that, Google says to contact the developer, iFIT.
  • Billed by Amazon: iFIT says Amazon refunds a cancelled membership only if you cancel within 6 days of purchase, under Amazon's subscription terms.
  • Billed by Roku: Roku's refund policy says subscriptions it bills aren't refundable, including when you cancel partway through a term.

If you were billed through the App Store, Apple decides eligibility case by case. Refund rules differ by country and by provider.

Questions people ask

Does deleting the iFIT app or my account cancel the membership?

No. Deleting the app doesn't stop the charges, and iFIT says deleting your account isn't the same as cancelling. Cancel at app.ifit.com/settings/membership-plan, or with Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku if they bill you.

Will I get money back for the rest of my plan?

Usually not. iFIT's return policy says monthly fees aren't refundable, and a yearly plan is refundable within 30 days of buying it or of the trial starting. It also allows a refund within 30 days of equipment delivery. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku bills you, their refund rules apply.

Can I still use my NordicTrack or ProForm machine after cancelling?

Yes. You can always use it in manual mode, and NordicTrack and ProForm say you keep a limited number of iFIT workouts. The rest need a membership. iFIT says its equipment needs a free iFIT account and wi-fi to operate, so keep your account.

My equipment was free with iFIT. Can I cancel?

Yes, but under iFIT's free-equipment financing offer, cancelling after the first 30 days makes the rest of the equipment balance due. Within 30 days of receiving it, you can return the equipment and cancel the membership. Check your offer terms.

Why does iFIT send me a code when I cancel?

After you select Continue to Cancel, iFIT emails a 6-digit code to confirm it's you. Look in the inbox of the email address on your iFIT account, including spam.

I'm a secondary user. How do I stop it?

Secondary users are added at no cost, so there's nothing for you to cancel. The primary user can remove you or cancel the iFIT Pro membership.
