Quick answer
- Sign in at members.crunch.com and select Manage Membership.
- If your club offers online cancellation, follow the steps and save the confirmation.
- No cancel option? Visit or call your home club, or send written notice the way your agreement says.
Your agreement sets how much notice you must give, so one more payment can still come out. Crunch refunds only in narrow cases, such as cancelling within your state's first few days. A paid Crunch+ subscription, or a fitness benefit program such as Active&Fit Direct, bills you separately.
| Cancel online | Only at some clubs, in the Member Portal at members.crunch.com |
|---|---|
| Billed through | Your home club directly · Fitness benefit programs such as Active&Fit Direct · Crunch+ separately |
| Access after cancelling | Until the end date your club confirms, set by your notice period |
| Refunds | Only within your state's cancellation window, or if Crunch missed your request |
| Cancellation fee | No commitment on month-to-month plans. Annual commitments: your agreement sets what you owe |
| Retention offer | None published. Ask your club about a freeze if you only need a break |
| Free trial | A free guest pass for first-time visitors, not a trial of a paid plan |
| Checked by a person | Not yet — treat these steps as a starting point, confirm them on the provider’s own page and check anything that costs money. |

Fee warning
Read your membership agreement before you cancel. It sets the notice you must give before your next billing date and what you owe to leave an annual commitment early. Crunch also charges a yearly Annual Fee: up to $89 at Crunch Fitness clubs and $89 plus tax at Crunch Signature clubs. Crunch's own agreements say the Annual Fee isn't refundable and that any unpaid dues must be paid before you can cancel.
First, find out who bills you
Each Crunch club runs its own memberships and billing, so you cancel with your home club: the club your membership belongs to. That's usually where you joined, unless you transferred.
Fastest check: Your membership agreement names your home club and its notice period. To see your charges in the Crunch app, tap the Profile icon, then My Account. Scroll down to Club check in progress, then scroll right to Billing & Payment History. On the Crunch website, select the My profile icon at the top left to see Billing and Payment History.
| What you see | Who bills you | Go to |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly Crunch dues on your card or bank statement | Your home club | Cancel online in the Crunch Member Portal |
| A once-a-year charge you don't recognize | Your home club (this may be the Annual Fee) | Cancel online in the Crunch Member Portal |
| A personal training charge | Your home club, under a separate training agreement | Cancel at your home club |
| A charge from Active&Fit Direct, Silver&Fit or Wellhub, not from Crunch | That program | Billed by a fitness benefit program |
Cancel online in the Crunch Member Portal
Some Crunch clubs let you cancel online. Check here first; if your club doesn't offer it, use one of the other ways below.
- Go to members.crunch.com and sign in with the email and password for your Crunch account.
- Select Manage Membership.
- If your club offers online cancellation, follow the steps to cancel. Check the end date and any final charges before you confirm.
- Save a screenshot of the confirmation.
Done when: You have a confirmation that shows the date your membership ends.
- No way to cancel under Manage Membership means your club doesn't offer it online. Visit or call your home club instead.
- Joined online? Some Crunch agreements say you can also cancel online through the Contact Us link at crunch.com/contact-us. Your agreement says whether this applies to you.
- Not going to the gym doesn't cancel anything. A month-to-month membership keeps renewing until you cancel.
- A paid Crunch+ subscription is billed separately from your gym. If you pay for it, manage it at crunchplus.com/accounts/subscriptions.
Cancel at your home club
This works at every club. Go to your home club.
- Find your home club's address and hours on the Crunch locations page.
- Bring your membership card or key tag. Some agreements ask you to hand it in.
- At the front desk, say you want to cancel and ask for a Request for Cancellation Form.
- Fill it in and pay any past-due balance. Crunch's agreements require unpaid dues to be paid before you can cancel.
- Ask for a signed copy that shows your end date and any final payment.
Done when: You leave with a signed copy of your cancellation request that shows the date your membership ends.
- Crunch's New York agreement treats your paperwork as a request until a Crunch employee approves it, and says a denied request comes back to you in writing with the reason.
- Personal training is a separate contract. Ask about cancelling it on the same visit.
Call your home club
Crunch says you can contact your club by phone to cancel. Each club has its own number.
- Find your home club's phone number on the Crunch locations page.
- Call and say: "I want to cancel my Crunch membership. Please tell me my end date and any final charges."
- Ask whether the club needs anything in writing to finish the cancellation. If it does, send it the same day.
- Write down the date, the staff member's name and any confirmation number.
Done when: The club confirms your end date in writing or by email.
- Some Crunch agreements require written notice, so a call alone may not cancel your membership. Your agreement says which ways count.
- Crunch says each club manages its own operations, so your club is the place to cancel. If your club doesn't respond, send written notice the way your agreement says and keep proof. Crunch's corporate contact is Crunch, LLC, PO Box 481, Elmsford, NY 10523, 1-844-927-8624, but your club handles the cancellation.
Cancel by mail or email
Written notice gives you proof of the date you cancelled. Use it if your agreement accepts it.
- Find the cancellation address in your membership agreement. Agreements differ, so use the one in yours.
- If your agreement asks for a Request for Cancellation Form (Crunch's New York and California agreements do), ask your home club for one, fill it in and send that.
- Otherwise, write a short letter with your full name, home club, membership or agreement number and the date. Say that you are cancelling your Crunch membership, and sign it.
- Send it by certified mail with return receipt so you can prove the date, and keep a copy.
- If your agreement accepts email, send the same form or letter from the email address on file with your club.
Done when: Your return receipt comes back and the club confirms your end date.
- Crunch's California agreement says to send the completed Request for Cancellation Form at least 30 days before your next bill date, by first-class mail, by email from the address on file, or in person. It gives no address for this, so ask your home club or Crunch Member Services at crunchms@crunch.com, which the agreement names for more about cancelling, where to send it.
- Crunch Member Services, PO Box 481, Elmsford, NY 10523 and crunchms@crunch.com are where Crunch's California and New York agreements say to send notice when you cancel within your first 5 business days (California) or 3 (New York). Franchised clubs may require certified mail to the club itself or hand delivery to a manager, so use the address in your agreement.
- Mail takes days. Send it well before your notice deadline.
Billed by a fitness benefit program
If your membership comes through a program such as Active&Fit Direct, Silver&Fit or Wellhub and that program charges you, cancel with the program. Active&Fit Direct says cancelling at the gym doesn't stop its monthly fees.
- For Active&Fit Direct, sign in at activeandfitdirect.com and select Manage Memberships to cancel, or call ASH Customer Service at 1-844-646-2746 (TTY 711), Monday to Friday, 5 am to 6 pm Pacific Time.
- For Silver&Fit, Wellhub or another program, cancel with the program that charges you. Crunch's healthcare memberships page gives contact details for programs such as Silver&Fit and Wellhub.
- If you also want to end the Crunch membership that came with the program, ask your home club.
Done when: The program confirms your cancellation and its charges stop.
- Active&Fit Direct says to cancel at least 30 days before your next monthly fee is due to avoid another charge. After its short right-to-cancel window, you can't cancel in your first 2 months except for disability or death.
- Crunch says it won't switch these memberships to a paid Crunch plan without your consent if your eligibility ends.
Freeze instead of cancelling
Crunch handles freezes through your home club. Ask at the front desk, or use the Crunch contact form.
Crunch's own agreements allow a medical freeze in whole months, from 1 to 6 months a year, with a doctor's note. Other freezes are up to the club. Ask by the deadline in your agreement. Crunch's New York and California agreements say at least 10 days before your next billing date, and others, such as a Washington franchise agreement, ask for 14. A freeze can't be backdated, and a fee may apply.
Free guest pass
Crunch's free trial is a guest pass for people who haven't been to Crunch before. A guest pass isn't a membership. If you joined after your visit and changed your mind, cancel right away: refunds are only possible within your state's first few days.
Crunch+ trials are separate, and Crunch's pages give different trial lengths. The Crunch+ terms say your trial length is shown for the plan you pick when you sign up, so check it at crunchplus.com/crunch_subscriptions. To avoid being charged, cancel at crunchplus.com/accounts/subscriptions before the last day of your free trial.
What happens after you cancel
- Access: You can keep using the club until the end date on your confirmation. At Crunch Signature clubs, your last month's dues were paid when you joined, so access runs to the end of the following month: cancel any time in January and your last day is February 28.
- If you just stop paying: Your membership doesn't end. Crunch says the unpaid balance keeps growing and can go to collections.
- Your data: Crunch keeps your personal information while your membership is open, and longer when it needs to, for example to collect fees or settle disputes. You can ask Crunch to delete it at privacy.crunch.com/privacy-request.
- Rejoining: Join again at crunch.com/join. A new membership comes with a new agreement and its own fees, which can include an enrollment fee.
How to check it worked
- Keep your confirmation, signed copy or return receipt until your last charge has cleared. Crunch asks for proof of your request if you're charged after cancelling.
- After your next billing date, open Billing & Payment History in the Crunch app. No dues should appear after your end date.
- If you pay for Crunch+, check it separately at crunchplus.com/accounts/subscriptions.
Getting a refund
- Within your state's cancellation window: Cancel within the first few days after joining and you can get your money back. Each state sets the window: Crunch's own agreements give 3 business days in New York and 5 in California. Your agreement gives your window and where to send notice.
- Charged after you cancelled: Crunch's FAQ lists a missed cancellation request as a reason for a refund. You'll be asked for proof of your original request, so keep it.
- Other charges: Crunch's FAQ names no other refund reasons, and Crunch's own agreements don't refund enrollment fees or the Annual Fee after the cancellation window. Your agreement may give extra rights, for example if you move far away. Ask your home club's billing team about a specific charge.
- Personal training: Crunch accepts a few reasons for cancelling a training contract with a refund. Ask your home club which ones apply.
Refund rules differ by country and by provider.
Questions people ask
Can I cancel Crunch Fitness online?
Only at some clubs. Sign in at members.crunch.com and look under Manage Membership. If there's no way to cancel there, visit or call your home club, or send written notice as your agreement says.
How much notice do I have to give?
Your agreement decides. Crunch says the notice needed before your next billing date varies by membership agreement. Crunch's California agreement, for example, asks for 30 days. Check yours or ask your home club.
Will my membership end if I stop going or stop paying?
No. A month-to-month membership keeps going until you cancel, and if payments stop, Crunch says a balance builds up and can go to collections. A paid-in-full membership ends with its term unless you renew.
What is the Annual Fee?
A yearly charge for equipment and facility upkeep: up to $89 at Crunch Fitness clubs and $89 plus tax at Crunch Signature clubs, where it first comes about three months after you join. Your agreement says when it's due and whether you still owe it in the year you cancel.
Does cancelling my gym membership cancel Crunch+?
Treat them as separate. Cancelling Crunch+ doesn't change your gym membership, and Crunch handles all Crunch+ changes on the Crunch+ website. Cancel it at crunchplus.com/accounts/subscriptions. An All Crunch membership includes Crunch+ at no extra cost. After you cancel your gym membership, Crunch says you can still subscribe to Crunch+ for $7.99 a month, its regular monthly price.
Can I cancel early if I move?
Often, yes. Crunch's own agreements let you cancel if you move more than 25 miles from any Crunch club and show proof, such as a lease or utility bill. The New York agreement charges a $25 fee; others can charge more. Check what yours says.
My membership comes through Silver&Fit, Renew Active or One Pass. Can it start charging me?
Crunch says it won't switch these memberships to a paid plan without your consent if your eligibility ends. Ask your home club if you want to end the membership. If the program itself charges you a fee, cancel that with the program too.
